Since they are all talking about
the UAAP Cheer Dance Competition, let me connect this event to my new post. No,
I will not talk about the cheer dance. Instead, I will share another memorable
event that I've experienced.
Go Ateneo! One Big Fight! Yes, you’re right! I’m a fan of Ateneo
Lady Eagles. I watch their games live, especially when they play against their
archrival (La Salle). I also have four shirseys and three jackets from Ateneo.
I started watching volleyball when I was in 3rd year High school (I know it’s kinda late), when I found out that my best
friend likes volleyball. I really don’t like volleyball before. I find it
boring because the crowd isn't that much if you would compare it to basketball,
then I’m not used to watch volleyball also. During the Finals: Game One between
ADMU and DLSU, my best friend messaged me that I should watch it because it is
an Ateneo-La Salle game. So, I did what she said. Then I was surprised, the
venue is insane! One side covered in blue. The other one is green. I watched
the full game then I jumped in happiness when my favorite color won (Ateneo)!
It’s their first time to win a championship (women’s division). Since that day
I became interested in watching UAAP volleyball.
After UAAP Season 76, I’ve been following
some athletes from Ateneo Lady Eagles, like Dennise Lazaro, Ella De Jesus, and
Alyssa Valdez. Before the opening of Season 77, I started saving money for the
tickets because I really wanted to watch it live. As far as I can remember I
earned three-thousand pesos for the tickets and shirts.
Last January 11, 2015 I’m with my cousin and we went to MOA Arena to see
the game. Our tickets are just LB Standing, but it’s worth it. I took some
photos, because it is my first time to watch.
You can see the people around wearing blue and green. Even though our
tickets are just LB Standing were kinda lucky because we can switch places,
from one side to another. And fortunately they won against DLSU.
From Left to Right:
Gequillana, Madayag, Ahomiro, Maraguinot, De Leon, Morado, Gaston, De Jesus,
Tan, Lavitoria, Patnongon, Lazaro, Valdez.
Then this one is
taken last March. It is the Championship game between the ADMU and DLSU (as
usual).
I don’t know why I took
a photo of their shuttle bus (LOL!). There goes Alyssa Valdez and Dennise
Lazaro (Gen Ad feels like). Then the last one, on the lower left side of the
collage is the score 23-25 in favor of Ateneo to end this championship game.
And now I’m very excited for this season because it is the last playing
year of the Team Captain: Alyssa Valdez. Good day everyone!ONE BIG FIGHT!
As a sports enthusiast, I enjoyed reading this blog. Keep it up.
